October 24th is the date of the 2010 East Bay Mini Maker Faire. It looks like they’ve got a lot of great makers, crafters, and performers lined up, from robot builders to the Church of Craft, to Howtoons (with novelist Michael Chabon!). And Tim O’Reilly will be there teaching you how to make jam (I’m not kidding!). See their list of over 50 makers and performers here.

You just did Oakland! How about Orlando, FL?
@Ron
Mini Maker Faires are community-run, community-driven. YOU can do one in Orlando, FL, if you like. Team up with fellow makers in the community, any local hackerspaces, etc. and create your own. If you’re interested, let us know and we can hook you up with people and more information.
