While working on a school bus to RV conversion Jake developed an allergy to pine sawdust so he made this nuisance dust mask with a military style respirator, a blower from a disk drive array and an automotive air filter – Link.

firefighters use these masks too, they’re commonly referred to as SCOTT masks (thats the brand). they’re pretty common and fire departments throw them away when they start to get worn down. if they have any gashes on them they wont pass inspection but their still good for casual use (like this).
all the fittings are standard, I have three hanging up above my work bench that I use for this same reason when I turn on my lathe.
Cheers!
