I made some minor changes to the google map download script (mu02.pl) and caused it to do something similar with terraserver. Switched the base url, the parameters, and gif to jpg. :) Terraserver photo/satelite tiles are denoted the same way google map (drawn images) tiles are, in an x,y grid.
Oh… and of course the strips are south to north, so they need to be assembled in reverse order.
