Radiorental show you how to tidy up all your cables with this simple Instructable – “There are very few things in life that get right under my skin, triping over cables is one of them. I think I may have seen a product like this somewhere – not sure, inspriation being the mother of invention and these are fairly easy to make.” Link.

wouldn’t you start getting induction at some point? might be an issue in some applications (e.g. hi-fi).
My parents had some clear plastic things resembling this back in the 70s (80s?). Don’t know where the acquired them, but they were mass-produced. So I imagine you saw something like this, but homemade is certainly better.
good point. I’m only using these for things that I want to adjust on the fly such as latpop cables, headphones. Wrapping up unsheilded audio cables would need a different method, not sure what people use for that.
Looks like Smartwraps. I use one and it works nicely. I don’t know about induction, but I might be concerned about cable fatigue if I did a lot of winding and unwinding.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I didn’t realize these comments are reverse-chronological, and thought they hadn’t gotten through.
