The fourth annual Maker Faire Africa is going on today and tomorrow in Lagos, Nigeria.
Makers are showing a range of hacks and innovations across farming, robotics, transportation, toys, science, and more. The fair also features a workshop area where attendees can try soldering and learn about Arduino and Rasberry Pi, mini solar panels, and 3D desktop printing.

I just got an email from a member of the Nigerian parliament’s cousin asking for help getting his family’s vast collection of Arduino projects to the next World Maker Faire. It seems they need my banking information to avoid some kind of nasty taxes from customs. Sounds fun!
Seriously though I am amazed at some of the creations and kludges coming from Africa. If necessity is the mother of invention then that continent is the midwife.
Chuck u beta don’t give em any of ur banking details. Its a scam
