MAKE on Exploratorium webcasts

Make 788
There are now two Maker Saturday webcasts that we did live at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, available at explo.tv. The first one was Making Your Own Train Car with Paul Cesewski. Paul builds rides as a member of Cyclecide and he got the idea to build his own train car and ride the abandoned rails in the North Bay. He shows how he makes a train wheel from a car’s wheel rim. The second webcast was Making Blinkybugs with Ken Murphy. Ken shows us how to build a simple circuit using a battery, an LED and guitar string. He shapes them into insects that blink when their antennas become excited (by wind or movement.)

You can find them both listed under recent Webcasts at Explo.tv. This Saturday Dale will be be in Austin, TX but the Maker Saturday Webcast will be “Making Hyperbolic Crochet with Margaret Wertheim.”
