Groningen Maker Faire 2012 from Christel van der Ziel on Vimeo.
Groningen’s second Mini Maker Faire is set for Oct. 12.
Makers from The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium will all get together in the Ebbingekwartier of the student city of Groningen. Visitors can try their hands on making with tens of workshops, listen to maker talks and watching the spectacular Maker Challenge (think Scrapheap Challenge). The city of Groningen is a mere two hour train ride away from Amsterdam airport.
What’s more, Groningen will also be holding a “Maker Friday” event Oct. 11, the day before the Min Maker Faire. Maker Friday is a maker-only day for hacking, building and meeting each other in a more intimate setting.
Have you ever had a better excuse to visit Groningen?
