New in the Maker Shed: Red Blinky POV

Blinky Red POV

POV (persistence of vision) displays allow you to spell out words that appear to float in mid-air by flashing a single row of LEDs in sequence. The Red Blinky POV, now available in the Maker Shed, has a very unique feature; no programming port is required to change the text! To program the Red Blinky POV simply go to the included website, enter in your text or animations, and the program is loaded by holding the Red Blinky POV up to your monitor. The pre-programmed microcontroller and light sensors (located on the back of the board) eliminate the need to use a cable. Catch a glimpse of it in tonight’s episode of Make: Live!
