The Gameboo is a project from a couple of years ago, and is documented on the creator’s blog, Casing the Joint. This is a truly impressive mod, which LXL15 made for a friend’s 21st birthday. The Gameboo uses a Dingoo Technologies A330 emulator inside an old Gameboy case to turn it into so much more than the original.

Gameboo plays 8, 16 and 32 bit games from multiple game consoles. You can play on the included color screen or use the component video output to display on a TV or monitor. A 2.4GHz wireless controller allows you to play from an X-Box like controller pad, so you don’t have to be stuck to this little handheld.

The Gameboo also lets you play audio through an embedded FM receiver or MP3 audio. You can watch videos or view pictures too! This may be the most functional Gameboy mod I’ve ever seen.

A list of very interesting projects. I may try one out. By the way, recently I am looking into buying a new solder station. Have anyone heard of Hakko soldering station like this one? http://www.whichsolderingstation.com/hakko-fx-951-soldering-station-review/
