Skip the electric drill next time. We use an old auger for our 20+ trees. Much easier to haul around. My wife did half the trees when I was at work, and she’s got limited strength due to a masectomy. If you feeling a little peaked, sing the theme song from Mulan, “Be a Man…” .
For boiling down the sap, a Better ‘N’ Bens woodstove works great. We use two matching cooking pans on top. Boils the sap down with less fuel. We finish off the sap inside when it’s close to going. Fridge is half full of syrup now, we don’t retail it’s all for us!
