Those aren’t pyramids. Those are tetrahedrons. They have all kinds of interesting properties.

I’ve always just made my own versions of these. For the pyramids I use a block of wood with a nail driven through it (helps to sand the tip of the nail down a bit so it doesn’t dig into the work too much). For the brush holder I glue a couple of magnets to a large binder clip (not quite as nice as the lee valley version but gets the job done).
