Pitch Your Prototype for MakerCon

Pitch Your Prototype for MakerCon

hiw2013_roundup_0509MakerCon, the two-day conference and workshop for makers, wants to connect you with the right accelerators and tech players to capitalize on your prototype.

Last year’s winner, a magnetic, snap together electronics kit called LightUp, has since run a successful Kickstarter, created a companion app, and released products to its backers. And this year there’s an even bigger prize: Featured prototypes will present at MakerCon, and the top idea will receive $5,000 and the opportunity to present their prototype at Maker Faire.

The prototypes must be just that — early-stage ideas — and will be judged by MakerCon attendees based on impact to the community, technology, and business. Interested contestants should submit a 5-minute video by April 25.
