Lee’s handcrafted wooden puzzles are world renowned – and for good reason. Each piece shows his passion for geometric form and interactivity, easily doubling as conventional visual sculpture.
Lee Krasnow is a full time puzzlemaker currently based out of San Francisco, California. Several years ago he downloaded Stewart Coffin’s Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections along with the other reference material available online and started making puzzles. Determined to produce fine-art quality pieces, Lee adapted some of Stewart’s jigs into precision machined versions that help him cut extremely accurate puzzles.
As a full-time designer and manufacturer, Lee has established a reputation as one of the world’s finest craftsmen of rhombododecahedral burr puzzles — his creations are often as expensive and time consuming to make as they are beautiful to look at and pleasing to play with. Several of his designs have received prominent recognition in the prestegious IPP Design Comeptition.
Come say hi to Lee and view some of his handcrafted designs at Bay Area Maker Faire and visit pacificpuzzleworks.com for more info.
