The Faire continued today in full force, winding down at 6pm as happyย Faire goers headed home with newly built treasures and tired feet.
The Faire’s Dark Room, housed in Fiesta Hall, proved to be both meditative and stimulating. Shimmering lights flashed through the darkness as young ones danced with long fiber optic rainbows. The Dark Room was also home to some of the most engaging visual and auditory presentations at the Faire, namely the MakeFashion Show and DJ QBert.
Check out the gallery below to get a taste of what the Dark Room had in store. We’ll see you next year at Maker Faire Bay Area 2016!
The magical Tree of Changes was the center piece of the Dark Room.
The Sessilanoid was a different color every time I saw it.
Captivating LED Light Sculptures by Kristen Hoard.
Cat of a Different Color has lovely eyelashes and a cozy fur coat.
Attendees lined up to be “shot” by the SteamPunk Mobile Vortex Smoke Ring Blaster.
