“This is a great book that is no longer in print that shows how to build everything from a log cabin to a wooden bugle. Even if you can’t build some of the things in this book it still can flood the imagination with great ideas.” – Link.

This book is awesome. I love just how much of an undertaking most of the projects in there are. I built a tree fort or two in my childhood, but a log cabin?
Makes me sad though, as a lot of the book says things like “use your common sense.” Remember those days? remember common sense?
sigh.
Gutenberg.org has a book called “The Scientific American Boy” that has all kinds of constructions like these. The pdf has images.
It is back in print, from Applewood Books, and you can find it for around $15 at Amazon.com (ISBN 1557091854),
