If you couldn’t make it to Maker Faire Bay Area at the weekend—perhaps because there was a big body of water in the way—maybe you made it out to the Trieste Mini Maker Faire?
The faire, the very first Italian mini Maker Faire, was held on Saturday—the same weekend as the Bay Area Faire—at the campus of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), and organized in collaboration with Immaginario Scientifico Science Centre in Trieste, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ICTP.

With over a hundred stands, showing off the creations of almost three hundred makers, by the end of the day more than 6,000 visitors had come to see the show. Exhibits included a mobile Fablab, a small cinema-in-a-car, and too many musical robots to count.
