The mechanics are simple, but took some work to figure out. The gears were cut by hand with a band saw. I modeled them in Solidworks and then glued printouts of the gear profiles to the wood to show me where to cut. They are modeled after involute gears, which mesh perfectly at all moments in the rotation. The rubber bands return the claw to the open position when you are not pulling on the string.” – Link.

Would it be possible to get a pattern for that? If so, pelas let me know.
Thanks
Could you post a printable pattern for this? If you can, please do. The reason I need the pattern is I am making an ROV(romotley operated vehicle) submersable. Instead of the string I would use a break cable from a bike.
oops, didn’t know the first on went through.
is this possible to do for a grade 7 project???
