USB extension desk mod

Paul made a USB under-the-desk extension desk mod, but what is says is the best…

  • Belkin Cable-Free USB Hub, $199
  • Ikea desk, $129
  • Taping the USB extension from the hub to your desk and leaving the rest of it in the box, priceless.

There are somethings in life that MAKErs can’t mod, but for everything else, there’s Scotch Poster Tape.

I’ve got a usb extension cable stuck between a drawer and the bottom of the desk. Keeps it available for easy usb access…But is running a cable a mod?

  2. philliptorrone says:

attaching it to a desk is mody – but ideally he’d drill holes and maybe perm-it on there :)

Ooo, ideally, he’d cut a hole in the desk, mount it, epoxy around it, and fake wood laminate over everything except the port…Now that’d be a mod :D

…I ought to do that o.o

Wow, all you have to do is tape a cable to the side of your desk to get posted on Make: Blog? :)
