So much for posting my foot-switched-to-relay-switched headlight dimmer in my old Blazer…….
Wonderful plane and write-up! I love the art-deco look and feel of the old planes. I greatly miss the smell of the the planes my dad had and the old hangars at Elmdale airport outside Abilene, TX.
As soon as I find the money for that old Beech Staggerwing I’ve always wanted I’ll post it up for you guys! ;p

What’s with the large number of Fairchilds around lately? All of a sudden they’re everywhere. Here’s my photos (Google Picasa link) of a recently completed restoration here in the Vancouver, BC area. The current owner of the plane is the grandson of the pilot who flew it when it was first built. The owner’s father, (the original pilot’s son) rode in it once with his father when he was a little boy. In these photos, he gets to fly in it again, this time with his son. It brought tears to his eyes.
