Wow. That’s quite a project, but I’m worried about the mounting location on that motor. Seems like it would be quite easy to rip off on an obstacle, or get damaged in a tip-over. It’d be safer inside the frame, although that would make the drivetrain a bit more complicated.
The steel plate and brace underneath are welded directly to the swingarm so I think the bike will bounce before the engine breaks off…
Though I did dump the bike a few weeks ago on a patch of ice at about 20Km/h, the blower was destroyed on impact breaking the blades and busting the fiberglass mount.
Since it was just below 0C the motor still ran cool enough.
