I am descended from 5,000 generations of tool-using primates. Also, I went to college and stuff. I am a long-time contributor to MAKE magazine and makezine.com. My work has also appeared in ReadyMade, c't – Magazin für Computertechnik, and The Wall Street Journal.
Though I’m having a hard time imagining the particular circumstances in which I would really need to do this, I am thoroughly impressed by its resourcefulness and cleverness. [Thanks, Mom!]

It will be useful whenever you are out of Ziplock bags (as in most of the world outside US) and need to be able to hermetically seal and unseal a plastic bag without using knots.

not as much trash to throw away, if you were to say buy stuff in bulk

Clever. Though I don’t know that I would trust it for anything other than solids. I know they say it’s airtight, but I’m skeptical.
Joel Turnersays:
Think bigger bottle, like a Gatorade, new way to seal up the old tatoe chip bag.

Great idea. We are going to use this to dispense pet food at our pest control seattle company. Rodent pellets can be purchased in bulk, then we can transfer them to your nifty bag and bottle top dispenser. Great post!

For some reason I could not get the actual photo of what this looks
like to work. But the concept was really interesting. You place the top
of the water bottle with the bag tucked in with the top of the bottle
out. You can then open the top of the bottle and pour the contents out
and then put the cap back on again without opening the bag. Interesting
idea. garbage bags
