You may remember that earlier this summer Maker Camp visited The Crucible. For the uninitiated, the Crucible is a gem in Oakland, Calif. where classes are primarily taught at the intersection between liquid and solid of various materials. This includes blacksmithing, moldmaking, glassblowing, ceramics, and a whole lot more. Many fire-breathing projects have also come out of the Crucible and made their way to Burning Man.
This Saturday, Sept. 7, they’ll be holding an open house from 12-5 pm. There will be a demonstration on how artisanal tableware is made to go along with the refreshments served by local vendors.
