Michael Wright explains his remake of the mysterious apparatus found off the coast of Antikythera island –

The Antikythera mechanism is an ancient Greek clockwork machine found in a shipwreck, that has taken more than a century to decipher. Wright’s handmade reconstruction is the first to include all the known features of this complex device.

    Very cool. I’ve always been amazed by the complexity of the Antikythera device. Has anyone read the book mentioned? It’s not released yet in the US…

    I’ve found schematics of the gear works from a couple of years ago, but nothing since the more recent discoveries. So if someone wanted to remake this, where’s the best place to find the necessary information?
