Arduino-powered pumpkin

Arduino Home

I really love Matt Richardson‘s sweet pumpkin project. It uses a proximity sensor to sense when a trick-or-treater approaches, then goes into “evil mode” where the punkin’s LEDs flash red and an evil piezo growl blares out. Oh yeah!

This is the sort of project that would be great for our DIY Haunts Halloween prop contest. You can win all sorts of prizes from Jameco Electronics, MAKE and the Maker Shed, plus you’ll end up with a freaky prop to scare the kiddies.
