Metroid Arm Cannon Halloween prop

In this charmingly earnest video, 11 year old Joseph DeRose (and his dad Tony) give us a tour of the Metroid Arm Cannon they’re building for Joseph’s Halloween costume. Tony and his kids made the popular Saphira for Maker Faire Bay Area 2010 and the Potato Gatling Gun for Maker Faire Bay Area 2009. As you can see, these guys go all out. There’s a lot more to do on Joe’s costume. The Project: Varia website tracks his progress. Can’t wait to see the whole thing put together. I love how, when he’s demoing the modes of the Arm Cannon, he adds the recoil each time he fires it. We’re right there with you, Joseph! [Thanks, Michelle!]
