Quick and easy how-to on setting up remote bittorrenting at the Wired How-To Wiki…
For the full-fledged BitTorrent geek, remote control means setting up BitTorrent on a home server that runs continuously in the background. Even if you don’t want to delve into home server setups, remote control tools have other uses.
Say you’re at the office and you want to see if the latest episode of Lost is going to download completely before you get home. Well, it’s no problem if you’re using a web-based torrent interface.
Nice use for an old computer you might have laying around.

IMO: the best way to remote (i’m doing it now) is rTorrent + SSH + screen. secure, simple, full featured. it’s a delight!
Those are my tools for the same setup – pretty decent webinterface and seems to get the job done…
I use torrentflux (http://www.torrentflux.com/) and am very happy with it – it has a easy-to-use web interface that makes remote access a cinch. It was originally designed for Linux, but should work on any system with apache, mysql & PHP.
