It’s hard to tell what’s going on here, it appears to be a typewriter crossed with a laptop + a morse code keypad of sorts, but one thing is for sure, it’s awesome and belongs in Brazil. [via] – Link & Japanese page.

Belongs in the *movie* “Brazil” — wonderful mashup of laptop, portable and Enigma crypto machine!!!

  2. Foxhound says:

  3. rdarlington says:

My guess is that this is a portable telegraph system. Your brain/ears recieve Morse and you type out the message for a permanent record. You bang out your reply on the key.

  4. Kryten007 says:

The telegraph key is a track-ball! Fantastical!

  5. cyenobite says:

Looks like it came right out of a steampunk novel!

  6. Fredex says:

The telegraph was the original network from which all other networks are descended.
