The Rhode Island Mini Maker Faire, which is happening on Saturday, September 10, from 2pm-10pm on Steeple Street in downtown Providence, is going to feature a QR Code scavenger hunt:
Thom Nichols is building a mobile QR Code scavenger hunt for the RI Mini Maker Faire based on QuiRk: A Cross-Platform QR Scavenger Hunt Game, which he launched at this year’s Wooly Fair.
We’ll be hiding QR Codes all over the RI Mini Maker Faire. If you find them all, you’ll be entered in a (free) drawing to win one of three awesome prizes, which we’ll be announcing soon.
The 3D-printed QR Codes will link to the start page for the game (it’s web based so it works with any mobile phone that can scan a QR Code), but the QR Codes you’ll be hunting for will be much smaller than this one.
Update #3: Play our QR Code scavenger hunt at the Faire

Ooh, this is a geeky scavenger hunt! How many QR codes did you hide back then? There were probably many participants who did their best to find them all! Smaller codes are quite the challenge, though.
