I’m liking the aesthetic of this m8 clock by Lets Make Robots user digi01. There doesn’t seem to be much information about it available, however a quick search brings up a potential design.

DIY clock in a can
Nice build but I recommend you don’t try and carry this on a aeroplane ;)
A trick I learned from Collin is to put a letter on top of it explaining that you are a an artist and this is some of your work. An official looking business card is probably helpful as well. Of course, they will probably still take a look at it, but it helps to suggest some context to people who might not have any idea what they are looking at :-)
