Just hook this Alarm Phone Dialer up to something you would like to monitor, for example, a high water alarm, low temperature alarm, back window, garage door, etc. When the system is activated it will call a number of programmed numbers to let you know the alarm has been activated. This would be great to get alerts of alarm conditions from your home when you are at work. The microcontroller code is provided on the site.
The circuit uses a MT8880 DTMF dialer chip and a PIC 16F84A microcontroller.

is there a way you could hook it up to a cell phone to leave in your car. So if, it the car alarm when off the Car cell could call your personal cell?
No but there is a project for you that does just that “GSM Call Alarm”!
Check it out:

Is there a hobbyist friendly source for Zarlink chips (the Zarlink MT8880 DTMF dialer chip) in US and/or Canada?
Is there a mirror website/page? I am getting a 509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded Error.
DrillBit97 – I am sure it could be possible. If you have an aftermarket alarm, the orange wire (ground when armed) could be used instead of the push button “Pokreni dojavu alarma.”
thanx for your useful project
Drillbit97 did you ever find a way for a cell phone connected to your car alarm to call another cell?
checked out the recommended site , but couldn’t understand the language…….
thanx
