A couple of years ago, we featured Gavin’s super cool LightScythe light-painting staff on MAKE. Since then he’s updated the project with a Raspberry Pi and an Open Beam staff, using this Adafruit light-painting tutorial. The project is open source and Gavin’s web page has all the details. You can also download his enclosure files from Thingiverse.
