A Maker reader writes in with this find… “SPLat is a company that I ran across that has some rather interesting embedded controller products. For under $100 you can get a module with 2×16 backlit LCD, buttons and LEDs. It has 12 I/O’s and even does floating point arithmetic. $20 less gets you a model sans LCD.
