Chris Blazick of Pasadena, CA, wrote in to share his wedding ring, which he had engraved with a binary message.
I wanted to write in to share the tale of my wedding ring. It’s a traditional band with a square pattern embedded in it. The squares represent binary. The words of the Claddagh are encoded: Love, Friendship, Loyalty.
But Chris — who designed the ring in Maya — had room for one more word, so he added “Trust.” Nicely done Chris and congrats!

Its an interesting idea, but it has one design flaw in that it will seriously accumulate dirt over time. For that reason, while its new and clean, I would recommend encasing the binary writing in a transparent resin which you can shape and highly polish to match the contour of the ring. That way it will protect it whilst still being visible, and it should look really good. :)
(You could even get it electro plated gold to make it look amazing, before you encase it in the resin).
My first thought was that will need to spend a lot of time in the ultrasonic cleaner!
Modeling it first then having it physically made is very cool. Definitely something special being bespoke.
it looks like a symbol of an old tradition. i like everything that looks nostalgic and classic.
