I was given this vintage button by a friend, and she asked me to make a 3-key star key for her. I have made many star keys for friends over the years and I like to use the opportunity to be creative. I immediately thought to make a locket.
I have been learning about silver solder over the last few weeks, and practicing using it. It is more difficult to use because it requires working in 1,200+ degrees. Controlling the heat is the difficult part, but with practice you can get the hang of it.
In this video you can see me using steel bricks and metal scraps to direct the heat where I want it. I am using map gas and a push-button torch from the hardware store.
Thank you and Enjoy!
