Maker Faire New York: AtFAB’s Free CNC Furniture Designs

Anne Filson and Gary Rohrbacher lead AtFAB, a resource for furniture designed to be cut on a CNC. The Community Commons designs may be downloaded from AtFAB’s site and adjusted to fit the needs of the maker. For instance, a chair could be stretched out to make a love seat. Then you CNC the parts at your friendly local hackerspace or tech shop. They’re even accentuating some of the parts with 3D-printed marquetry — see the second photo.

AtFAB’s booth may be found in Maker Square and they’re doing a presentation at 3pm Sunday. Check them out!
