I’m crazy about this demo of direct servo control using an Android tablet and the Arduino-based ADK. Youtuber chrisjrelliot says “Build instructions are in progress and the code will be open-sourced shortly.” This is just the sort of thing that has me excited about Android ADK development.
From BBC News: “Mexican soldiers have destroyed four “narco-tanks”, lorries fitted with steel armour thought to have been made for the Gulf drug cartel. The vehicles were seized in a garage in Camargo, in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas. Authorities said the cartel used the tanks, fitted with air-conditioning and steel plates, to patrol its smuggling routes and transport drugs to the US.”
Technically, the Android Open Accessory SDK requires either the Nexus S or Nexus One running Android 2.3.4. I have a confession to make: I’m a picky eater. My everyday cooking is much more about healthy, simple foods that get the job done than the over-the-top, involved productions that one might imagine the author of a food science book would be concocting. Don’t get me wrong, I love whipping up a fun, multi-course meal with friends. But day-in, day-out, I’m much more likely to stick to simple, healthy meals that have a good nutritional profile.
