These look really amazing. Free Spirit Spheres has commenced limited production of the 3.2 metre fibreglass sphere tree houses and now has sphere shells and kits available for the DIY market. More art with paper platers! Here are pictues of more recent models over the last four years. They are all folded from 9″ paper plates. They represent one direction in exploring the potential of folding circles. The one constraint I adhere to is never cut the circle. To do so would be to destroy the wholeness and limit potential. This is a typewriter that once belonged to Herb Caen, the famous San Francisco Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and journalist who died on Feb. 1, 1997. Build a machine out of Lego that takes Lego soccer balls from an input hopper to an output hopper at a minimum rate of one per second by any means you can devise. Define a standard interface for this kind of machine so that the output of one will reliably feed the input of the next. Now invite hundreds of Lego fanatics to use their imagination to build modules of all different sizes and types to meet this standard – then connect them all end to end to make the biggest Rube Goldberg contraption in history.
