I’ve been meaning to try them out- this sounds great…The cool thing is there are several videos on there that I’ve always wanted to buy from my car parts and restoration catalogs. My first two selections are both from the Welding Section since I’m planning on picking up a MIG welder within the next couple of weeks. I also really like their blog where they interview real customers to find out about their projects and announce new videos. Link.
Guess what? I’m using Google’s “talk” IM service right now. It’s pretty simple, just added the server in iChat, used my google username and pass and now I’m using google’s jabber server (you can add me, torrone@gmail.com). Adding the account, I needed to try connect with and without SSL, and finally me online using their server. Here’s another HOW TO – Link. UPDATE: Get the Google client with VOIP and more here! Wow!

Looks like Google is going to be using Jabber- talk.google.com is talking Jabber. You can telnet over to talk.google.com 5222. The last line will be the standard response sent by a Jabber server prior to negotiating a login. I heard on IRC that some have logged in using their Google username and password. Link.
