Diane at CraftyPod and her partner, Katin Imes, created this fantastic puppet theater for Katin’s nephew. They started with a cardboard box base, and covered it in layers of duct tape to hide the graphics printed on the box. There are some fantastic little engineering bits that you have to read about to believe, and I think Diane’s praise of Katin’s skills being McGyver-like are spot on. One of my favorite parts of the project is how Diane’s use to the duct tape to create the lettering above the curtains on the front of the box. Brilliant! I can’t wait to see what else she does with this technique. Read more about how the theater came together over on her blog.
