From its educational institutions with strengths in engineering and design to its innovative culture of startups, the people of Providence have been hard at work making things for centuries. We’re grateful, excited, and humbled that Mayor Angel Taveras has honored the Rhode Island Mini Maker Faire and the Providence maker community with this proclamation.

I love the color gradation and lettering on this piece by twin-sister design team MaricorMaricar. They say, “It’s a play on the Filipino gusto (want) and the English gusto (enthusiasm, zest, energy) … Sometimes you need a little helpful reminder to keep going, don’t give up, be persistent.” Beautiful!
Curbly kills it at the mid-century game, and I love their take on an atomic clock with this asterisk design.
