Need some crafty inspiration? Here are some of the cool things we saw in the CRAFT Flickr Pool this week!
Fran Blanche is a self-described “corset maker, pedal designer, engineer, artist, musician, occasional radio DJ, subpar singer, and full time goofball” from Philadelphia who has, at least in the not-too-distant past, run a bespoke guitar FX business called Frantone. So much win.
3D printing service provider Sculpteo and game developer Infinite Dreams today announced a partnership that will allow users to turn digitally rendered pots into the real thing.
Infinite Dreams’ popular “Let’s Create! Pottery” app lets users shape, fire, and paint a piece of pottery in a virtual environment. The new relationship with Sculpteo brings the experience into the physical world by allowing users to purchase full color, printed versions of their pottery directly from the app.
I’m writing a series of posts aimed at folks looking forward to their first experience at the upcoming Maker Faire Bay Area (May 18-19 in San Mateo, Calif.). I’d like to help out by answering your questions directly, documenting some of my own experiences as an exhibitor at Maker Faire, and interviewing folks at MAKE for advice on enjoying the fair.
Brighten up those dreary winter days with a pair of eye-catching tie-dye rainbow socks!
