TechShop Raleigh-Durham to Close

TechShop Raleigh-Durham is closing, effective Saturday, April 20, 2013. In an email to MAKE, Dan Woods, chief operating officer and VP of business development at TechShop, said “In the final analysis, it is obvious that the location is not convenient enough to the vast majority of the maker community in the Raleigh-Durham market.”

Maker Faire Kansas City Call for Makers now Open

Maker Faire: Kansas City is set for June 29-30 and the call for makers is open NOW. Makers, artists, and all-around tinkerers–please click here to fill out an application to show your stuff. The deadline is May 24. Exhibits and presentations at this year’s fair will include rockets and robots, DIY science and technology, arts and crafts, bikes, electronics, urban farming, alternative energy vehicles, fire arts, live musuc, Arduino, and much more.
