Charming Needle Felted Finger Puppets

While searching the internet for inspiration to make a nursery mobile, I came across the charming work of Ayelet Gazit in her Etsy shop, Lazy Animals.

Her lovely handcrafted finger puppets are also available as part of a child’s crib mobile, or you can display your collection quite smartly in a vintage wooden shadowbox frame. I love the simple, sleepy expressions of these characters, and all the details including those mini decorative pom-poms.

Ayelet’s work is created using processes she likes to call slow craft. They are brought to life by knitting and needle felting. I find the combination of these two techniques, especially on this scale, quite endearing.

Ayelet also sells prints of her characters in amusing situations, like the one pictured above.
