It’s been well established that I’m a huge space geek, and as I prepare to head to Florida for the shuttle launch this weekend, I’ve got rockets on my mind more than ever. Of course, I flipped out when June shared this amazing crochet Saturn V rocket by Flickr user, Ms Premise-Conclusion. I’m in love.
Keep an eye out for Rachel’s coverage of the shuttle launch next week here on Make: Online!

There’s a project to wrap the full-sized Saturn V model –

Looks interesting.
Cool! The Saturn V is my favourite machine ever and I was awe struck seeing a real one at KSC a few years ago. That was a life long dream after hearing the stories my dad told of going to see Apollo 15 launch in 1971. All Saturn V geeks should recognise this one as the earlier version with the extended black paint pattern on the first stage.
Somehow I read that as “Crotch Saturn V Rocket”. I was expecting some cool rocket-propelled motorcycle.
