Lisa writes in about her bedside book pocket. It’s an easy sewing project (just two straight lines) when made from an old handkerchief or napkin. The idea is that the long flap gets sandwiched between your mattress and box spring, providing support for the items in the pocket. You might want to make that flap a little longer if your current book is Dune. – Link.

GENIUS!!!
I’ve made these before, but using a pretty cloth napkin is a great idea! Tip: I found that no matter how long the “long” flap was, it would always get pulled out of place, so I bought screw-pins made for pinning dust ruffles to box springs and used those to tack it down. I’m pretty sure they’re not actually called screw-pins, but you can find them near the sheets in a store. :)
I’m surprised it can hold Harry Potter!
Pretty and useful!
Betcha an old pillowcase would work well, too!
