Beautiful- but wouldn’t the old prescription glasses be put to better use by donating them? I give my old prescription eyeglasses to my optometrist’s office, and they send them to eye doctors who work in impoverished countries where people receive little eye care and cannot afford glasses.

Sure, but what if one of the lenses or the frames are broken? I think there’re enough discarded glasses to make both!

I believe it’s the frames that are re-used and the lenses are changed according to the needs of the individual.
