Weekend Watch: Spooky Kids Crafts with Crafty Carol

Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year: with all of the costumes, decorations, and delicious treats, there’s ample opportunity to get your craft on! So, kids, roll up your sleeves and get ready for some fun, easy, spook-tacular crafts that I’ve shared on Cool School.

Scary Glow in the Dark Slime

Make your own goopy goo using five simple ingredients: glue, glow in the dark paint, food coloring, Epsom salt, and water. This gross, glowing substance makes a great addition to a haunted house, or fill it into some test tubes for your mad scientist costume.

DIY Trick or Treat Bag & Pipe Cleaner Spiders

In this episode, I offer some cool tips to trick out your Halloween tote bag, while showing step-by-step instructions on how to make a spider using lollipops and pipe cleaners!

Snoopy Pumpkin Carving

Need some pump-spiration? Watch Ms. Booksy and I team up to carve out Snoopy on our jack-o-lantern.

Halloween Bat Candy Bucket

Lots of kids go trick or treating with the generic plastic pumpkin bucket. Make yours stand out! Use felt and duct tape to transform an old-school jack-o-lantern bucket into a googly-eyed bat.

Robot Mask!

The big day is coming up fast! Still not sure what costume to don for All Hallow’s Eve? Make your Halloween costume in a pinch by creating your own robot mask with some cardboard, duct tape, and a little bit of sparkle (or a lot!).

Zootopia’s Judy Hopps Mask

Using poster board, felt, and markers, I can show you how to craft a Judy Hopps mask inspired by the Zootopia movie!
