Flower electronics produces simple and trustworthy synthesizer instruments. Currently offering 2 items – Battery Powered Noise Generator, and the Little Boy Blue Standard. You may notice there’s not a single LED on the Boy Blue, which makes for crazy-long battery life – but also a uniquely understated look. The 12 patch-jacks alone are enough to occupy my attention. patching = cool–>fun – Flower Electronics

Cool products but WAAAAY to expensive. How about an open source version? The little boy blue standard is $395.00!!! Yeowch!
Considering what it does, and I am the proud owner of a Little Boy Blue it is an amazing device. $395 is not expensive for this device. Especially if you know what analog synthesizers cost. For the cost of the little boy blue, you would only be able to get one analog synth module at best. The LBB comes with 2 analog osc’s, a preamp, an envelope follower and a matrix mixer. And it’s built like a tank.
