Rope is flammable. Not sure how good of an idea it is to wrap it around a lamp like this.

The rope doesn’t come anywhere near the bulb or bulb wiring, it’s just wrapped around the ceramic base of the lamp.

Hi, I was thinking about the cord (see about 1:53). I don’t mean to say that this will immediately burst into flames – It just doesn’t seem like a very good idea to me. Lamp cords have been known to over heat and melt down.
