Queens University student Jonas Lobo is pushing the paper folding envelope with his giant dynamic interactive origami sculpture, currently on display in Area A, indoors at the main hall at NYSCI. Made from a 20 by 20 foot piece of paper (the largest that Lobo could find), the massive origami piece is suspended from an arduino-controlled cable that moves the sculpture according to a sensor in strangely hypnotic ways, so be sure to go see it in action!

My daughter (who is 5) loved this and really enjoyed asking Jonas about it. He was really great fielding her (and my) questions.
Hey really nice project, would what sensor was used? how did you arrive at the “strangely hypnotic” movement?. Sorry for asking too many questions :) but always nice to see people working in the same directions accross the world. We tried this interactive origami project with the water-bomb tessellation- https://vimeo.com/60441123 -earlier this year
